Due to the takeover of an international group company by new owners, the Austrian location was restructured. At the same time, two new positions were staffed in the management team. My consulting work encompassed the design and facilitation of strategy workshops to transfer the new vision on to the operational level and to plan the necessary change process. The leadership and communication culture of the management team was strengthened by including teambuilding elements in the workshops.
Strategies for Evolvement
The first workshop started with a discussion of the history of the Austrian company location and the new group company vision. By applying a field and market analysis they identified the most important megatrends and customer relationships for the Austrian location. From the group vision, the “big picture”, the management team derived several future scenarios (best, worst, real case). On this basis we formulated the strategic priorities and first action plans. A risk analysis complemented the planning of the change process and the operational implementation of the change.
