Due to the generation change in a family business, I was invited to develop and implement a compact leadership program. The aim was to harmonize the current leadership styles, to develop a joint understanding of leadership and to anchor it in the corporate culture. All members of the top management team received an individual assessment of their current positioning using the Personal-Strategy-Profile Coaching. Subsequently, new leadership guidelines were created in team workshops and roll-out workshops were implemented with all the team leaders.
Strategies for Evolvement
In their individual coaching sessions with the Personal-Strategy-Profile, the young chief executives and the long-established managers reflected on their individual professional and strategic leadership style. They then discussed their current process, resource and interface management in joint management workshops. On this basis, their tools for goal setting, planning and delegation were standardized. New decision-making processes were defined. To work together better in the future, the organizational structure was also adapted.
