Startsituation
“I am working like crazy, but my new boss doesn’t appreciate anything I do!” my coachee said, a very successful appearing marketing and PR manager. Her new boss and board member had signalled to her several times that her work had not been sufficient for him. “If I don’t perform more successful, my days will be numbered. What is going wrong?” she asked.

Review
Already in her school days, my client was active as a class representative, leader of the volleyball team and later as a student union member. In all her professional positions, she was most successful when she worked on creative projects with her teams. Her new boss, she said, was difficult: “He is only interested in dry-as-dust reports. As humans we don´t matter at all!”
Internal Analysis
As a highly people-oriented person, for her the obligatory numbers, data and facts were rather a “necessary plague”. For her, marketing and PR was a relationship business with a focus on contact and proximity. With her boss she could not really connect.
Core Competencies
Her core competencies were clearly her open and communicative team player qualities. She loved to develop new ideas and concepts together with others. But now she was constantly criticised by the board: “All my projects are taken apart and rejected, it’s frustrating!”
